Lupasha Scholarships 2023 and Beyond

The ongoing partnership between the Rukwa Foundation and the Katandala Vocational Technical Center continues to be one of the keystone projects for the Foundation. In 2021 we began a small scholarship program which was named in honor of our dear friend, Gabriel Lupasha, who had a special connection to the school. Since its inception the school’s headmaster, Mr Gerfried Komba, has used the scholarship grants to keep high-performing students enrolled who would otherwise have to drop-out due to financial hardship or life circumstances.

The Lupasha Scholars now totals over 20 students currently enrolled. In partnership with the leadership at the VTC, the Rukwa Foundation was proud to increase the scholarship’s funding in 2023 and commit to sponsoring students on an annual basis.
